Martyn Joseph to guest at Herstmonceux Castle

Steve and Phil are delighted to announce that their good friend, renowned singer songwriter Martyn Joseph will be their special guest at their annual two day residential bash at Herstmonceux Castle, Sussex in late July. There are still some places left so book now!

Schedule for Show of Hands at Herstmonceux Castle

Tuesday 24th July 2012

  • Mid Morning – Arrive at Castle. Check into rooms.
  • 11am – Tour of Castle and grounds.
  • 1pm – Buffet Lunch.
  • 2.30pm – 5pm – ‘The Captains of Cottage Industry’. In The Ballroom. Meet Steve and Phil for an informal music and chat session – a behind the scenes look at all aspects of the world of Show of Hands.
  • 6pm – Supper
  • 7.30pm –Steve and Phil with special guest Martyn Joseph
  • 9.30 onwards – Sing around session in Pub.

Wednesday 25th July 2012

  • 8.30am – 10.00am– Breakfast.
  • 10am – 12pm – Guests divided into two groups for two non-participatory workshop sessions.
  • 12.30pm – Buffet lunch.
  • 2pm – 4.30pm – Groups swap over.
  • 6pm –Supper.
  • 9pm – Steve and Phil in Concert in the Ballroom.
  • Late bar and sing around session in Pub.

Thursday 26th July 2012

  • 8.30am – 10.00am – Breakfast.

Steve & Phil Residential Sessions for 2012

In July and November 2012 Steve and Phil are holding two days of informal shows, workshops, Q&A sessions, singarounds and special guests in two extraordinary and romantic settings, details below:

Herstmonceux Castle, Sussex.

Tuesday 24th and Wednesday 25th July 2012

Portmeirion Village, North Wales.

Tuesday 6th and Wednesday 7th November 2012

Following the success of their two residential sessions at Herstmonceux castle in 2010 and 2011, Steve and Phil have decided to include Portmeirion Village as a winter location this year.

A full programme of ‘behind the scenes’ and ‘meet the artists’ sessions is planned, from mid-morning on Tuesday, through to the final sing-around on Wednesday night and departure on Thursday morning.

All of the events are non-participatory but there will be ample opportunity for late night sing-arounds for those who wish to perform. The prices includes full-board and there are a variety of accommodation packages available. Please contact the venues for more details.
