Cropredy Vuillage hall gig
wow, what a great show, disappointment at Miranda's car blow up turned out for the best as Steve and Phil gave us "some of the old songs" and they really seemed to enjoy it, wise cracks and walks down memory lane aplenty, the night's theme was Sea and land and also included a new song "made for radio" and i didn't count one West country reference Steve....*coughs*
thanks to the Lads for a fab night and thanks to Auntie Shirley for organising it, can't wait for the next one!

Just got back.
Great day Sunday, long live 'Shamfest.
Just a pity England didn't bear New Zealand in the Rugby World Cup Final (Women's).

Just returned from Burnham Folkfest. As usual a superb set on Friday night, I took along as many SOH "virgins" as I could and they were all suitably impressed, I even had to advise which CD's to get! Don't worry folks - no commission! Shine on you crazy diamonds. By the way, loved the Stereophonics cover.

Great afternoon/evening concert at Topsham rugby club. Would make a brilliant annual 'Abbotsbury mark 2' as it's such a big site - let alone so near for us!

Another good SOH night - this time at the Rugby Club - understand it could become an annual event - just arrange for it to be a bit warmer!

Really enjoyed Otterton last night. Very relaxed duo gig, lots of humour and songs I hadn't heard performed for a while. You are quite right about deviations from the set list Sheila, it is sitting next to me on my sofa and it is certainly different to last night!
Lovely to see Phil looking back to his former self.
Thank you both, and to Kev for the "leg work!"

My once yearly visit to Otterton Mill is always very good, but last night with SOH was amazing! Songs from the past, many covers, lots of chat, and a new very poignant new song about a departed young man. Good to see Mr Knightley looking so smart, took years off of him, very handsome! And Mr Beer looking well again. Now looking forward to Exeter Cathedral in November. And next year at the Mill again, under the chestnut tree!

Vintage SOH evening at Otterton last night. Set list virtually went out of the window and lots of ad-libbing. Weather and food were wonderful as always.
